Time is not far when you can tell Alexa to do a payment for you
Voice payments are going to be the next great innovation
In my last post, I wrote about how the payment echo system has changed in India to restrict certain payment channels, to prevent fraud. However, a new paradigm is evolving with Nacha’s Payments Innovation Alliance giving sneak-peak to voice payments. While its at pretty early stage, contact less payments are getting more importance , especially with the corona virus pandemic demanding for more such innovation. While the simplicity of usage of voice payments is going to attract a lot of people, the biggest challenge in innovating that would be the ability to prevent fraud.
With the technology advancement being done so fast, it would be not surprising to see these innovation become reality by 2021. And once its implemented, may be we can tell Alexa to do a payment for us.
