Really thought provoking article @taskmaster445ole. Deep AI is a fascinating area of Artificial intelligence and one where experts are particularly divided when it comes to predicting when or if it will ever be a reality. I personally think we'll come close, sometime down the line, but I just don't see a machine as ever being able to fully replace the functionality of a human being as I do not believe they will ever be able to truly experience emotion or be able to understand it fully or empathise with it, and this is critical to understanding the operation of the human brain which is so affected by human emotion. Although ANI is progressing quickly and providing incredible efficiencies for human kind and brilliant new apps like Disney Genie (which I for one am quite excited by given how much trekking we did when we went to Disneyland Paris 2 years ago!), I don't think it will create a dearth of employment opportunities, rather it will create numerous opportunities and redirect careers into R&D, robotics design and development, programming and support services. There is such a bright future is the technological sphere, especially that of robotics and AI and the related scientific, engineering and computing arenas will see a big uptick in tertiary education in the future. Between this and Blockchain technology and the cryptosphere, we are in for one helluva ride and we should embrace it in my view.
