Will Humans Be Decentralized Nodes In The Future || The Era Of Cyborg Miners

We are heading towards the future of technology. In more ways than one. One of the fields of science that is very promising is that of robotics, specifically the part that focuses on combining technology and humanity in a more intimate way than what we have known up until now. I am of course talking about the concept of cyborgs. Human tech hybrids. There's probably an official fancy term for the science, but that's what I went with We already have the early adopters with their bionic limbs. Grandpa with his hearing aid is technically also a cyborg. Technically.

But we are heading towards more integration. Some people may fear things like chips, but this rational fear was also a thing when the internet first came. People didn't trust that either. But once the ball starts rolling, everyone hops onto the bandwagon.

With these future cyborgs, will blockchain technology still be a thing. And will we know it as we know it now? Or will it have evolved along with the circumstances. If that's the case would we still need miners to verify transactions on the blockchain? Let me be more specific: would we still need mining rigs or constructions?

Maybe humanity itself can provide a source for a decentralized network. Those that opt in would automatically have the potential to play a significant role while possibly also earning on fees.

It's funny to think about part human part robots functioning as nodes in a blockchain. And to some it might even be a very scary thought. But then again, so were airplanes in the early days, or telephones maybe, which would look like sorcery to our early ancestors.

These ideas also bring another benefit into the mix. Technology to aid the human body means that points of failure in the body can be managed. This could lead to people living far longer than we are used to as of today. But of course these are all just thoughts of mine.

So, where do you see this concept going in a few years? Is it all just fantasy or future reality? And would you participate if it meant living a longer life.

maybe we could be more humane if we are decentralized

How would that work exactly?

I think robots are unavoidable and I think AI/automated programs are also going to make the blockchain interesting. We are already seeing how some people don't like the bots in Splinterlands but they do provide faster matches for everyone playing. However, they also reduce the rewards pool so it's kind of tough to balance everything.

Some people pick and choose what they like automated and what not, and the arguments are there. But how is botting in a game different from using bots to vote or create curation trails for example. I personally don't use bots often, but I have nothing against them.

If it's a problem in equality, I think either the system should prevent bots or everyone else should get on the same level of automation.

Cybernetics is definitely a present reality, and will only grow in the future. I doubt that I will personally participate... I've spent a lifetime seeking a more 'natural' existence with my body. I have no desire for an unnaturally longer (or easier) life. I am fascinated by the science, though, and I believe future generations are going to see cybernetic enhancements as normal, just as we see smart phones now.

I agree, it will be completely normal to that generation. And some will be opposed or not like it that much. Just like the "back in my day" people now.

I'm personally excited about how medical technology will also advance to the point where you don't have a few years left after standard retirement around 60.

Medical tech is already there, for those who can afford it. Life expectancy into the 90's isn't that abnormal for people who are able to receive mid - high level medical care.

Where it will get crazy, in my opinion, is when we perfect things like nano-scale machines and RNA based vaccine delivery systems. As we become able to perform surgeries on smaller and smaller scales, and manipulate DNA to prevent cell degredation, I think we will see 'natural' lifespans start stretching out for centuries.

Hopefully by that time we've already started inhabiting other planets, because this planet is going to run out of space at some point.

We'll learn to inhabit space first, unless we get lucky enough to find some form of faster-than-light travel.

If you think back (say 50 years) just look at how far Science & Technology has advanced! The future makes anything possible in my opinion !LOLZ

The word queue is ironic.
It's just q with a bunch of silent letters waiting in line.

Yes, exactly. Even the automatically opening doors in Star Trek back in the day seemed like extreme science fiction to some people. It's all about perspective.

Why did the hospital send all the nurses to art school?
So they could learn to draw blood.
