Financial education is an important topic. There should be a lot more of it at home and in school. What I disagree on is the idea that people don't discuss finances or investing. It's very easy to find discussion forums on the internet about investing.

Those discussions in forums aren't peer groups, they are strangers. It is a massive difference as a source of influence and also requires an active search. Without the right culture, most wouldn't even look.
