IT'S OFFICIALLY HAPPENING REDDIT IS COPYING THE STEEM/HIVE USECASE.

They are launching two ethereum based tokens for the subreddits cryptocurrency and fortnite. One token is called MOON and the other BRICKS. This is huge validation for HIVE. They are just testing at the moment.

We must pitch them SMTs, and soon! Scalability advantage over ETH and decentralized distribution of tokens. Right now, they are distributing tokens using the reddit algorithm for karma.

I'm not a content creator so this is the first place I thought of to post to spread the word. Tagging some people too. Spread the word.

EDIT - here's an update on what I know after some more research. Reddit are paying all the gas fees, in order to avoid end users dealing with that by holding ETH.

The tokens can be interacted with/exchanged in a new app called Vault. Distribution of tokens will be separated from karma points, and based on something called Community Points (yes, they are really copying).

And, I've already seen some comments by users complaining about transactions not going through on ETH...
