I will be a lot more enthusiastic about this when the front-end is better (I wrote a post proposing some ideas around that) but bottom line, I am in favour :)
Communities are the bedrock that Hive will grow upon, if it grows at all.

The front end works fine and serves it's purpose. It isn't bad just not flashy. The community is a tiny niche on a small blockchain, can't justify spending $20K+ on a website under those conditions.
The front end works and compared to others I have never experienced a problem with it. If it’s not broken, I don’t see a need for enhancements above what’s available. STEM is a small community.
Aside from that it would be nice if the STEM Geeks front end greeted me by name and provided me with weather reports on regions of the Earth I will never visit. If it could sing me old Spanish songs while I read the articles that would be nice too.
Thank you!

It's your community so I understand that you are happy where it is at ...
The community is a tiny niche on a small blockchain,
IMO it could be as big or bigger than the LEO community
can't justify spending $20K+ on a website under those conditions.
As I mentioned elsewhere, fiat $ doesn't have to be part of it
🤷♂️ but it is your community, your call
IMO it could be as big or bigger than the LEO community
Doubtful, Leo is a common interest of everyone here where STEM is only a small subset of the community.

Fiat or not it still has a USD value

Once there is an effective front-end, it isn't relying on carving out a percentage of the Hive community but stands on its own merits AND derives benefits from the Hive association.
My STEAM-topic website gets 30,000 visitors a month mainly from search because I have been posting here instead of on my actual blogs. One Python article of mine on a popular python community has had more than my entire site.
Fiat or not it still has a USD value
Sure, and I get that the gains are not a huge motivator for you either.
