Hive's 2nd Birthday

It's hard to believe that it's been a year already since Hive was born. It seems like just yesterday that Justin Sun was committing a hostile takeover of Steemit... How the time flies in crypto and really anything related to it. Hive was forked out of the Steem blockchain after a hostile takeover and we kept fighting. Hive ended up being the most valuable of the 2 chains and for good reason. It seems that Steem is mostly just spam and centralized bullshit. Hive has real community and real value. We have to celebrate that from time to time. I have been on and off for around 4 years and it has been an interesting ride to say the least. We continue to see growth and new project built on the blockchain and I think that will only continue to accelerate. The Hive ecosystem is pretty insane when you think about it... We've got DeFi, social media, blockchain based email marketing, games, and much more.

I cannot wait to see what this year brings to the Hive ecosystem. It's only Q1 and it's already pretty exciting. Wait til we see the Ragnarok release and PsyberX release. Those are going to be absolutely insane.

SPK Network Claim Drop

As you might know, the SPK Network is launching sometime hopefully soon. It's a whole new blockchain built buy the @3speak guys. I'm no expert, I'm just a degenerate crypto nerd that loves to explore new tokens and blockchain projects. SPK Network is going to issues a claim drop of LARYNX Miner tokens to every user holding HIVE at the snapshot on January 6th. These tokens will emulate crypto mining rigs but they're digital so you don't have to worry about the electricity bill. These LARYNX tokens will be claimable every month for 12 months to get the full drop. All unclaimed tokens will be sent to the DAO. The SPK Network will be the foundation upon which 3speak's video streaming service and other apps will operate. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of something incredible. I hope you had plenty HIVE at the time of the snapshot. You don't wanna miss out on this one.

Tomorrow there will be a special live event hosted in the SPK Network Discord. This will happen in unison with the SPK Network claim drop going live. There will be giveaways and presentation from the SPK team members. For clarity - the exact time will be Sunday, March 20th, at 16:00 UTC. Don't be late! Make sure to have any questions you can think of ready as they are also giving away some tokens to the best questions asked during the event. They will detail things like when trading for LARYNX will go live, a mobile video app, a demonstration of the 3speak desktop app, and much more. It's sure to be a fun time regardless of what happens. I think the most interesting thing to discuss is Ceramic accounts and I cannot wait to see what they have to say about this feature. It's surely a game changer.
