RE: Using Finviz API To Get Stocks Data Programmatically

I primarily was interested in FinViz to get a list of stock tickers. I use this list to get historic data using other API like Yahoo Finance.

For crypto, I already have a small list that I usually look and Yahoo Finance has data for them as well.

Also, there is finnhub api that also works great for both stocks and crypto.

When I was exploring the FinViz API code I did see get_crypto() function. I haven't tried it yet, but it seems it does have some data for crypto too.

I don't auto trade at all. I only automate testing various ideas and strategies.
