Smart Work/Hard Work, Gratitiude for Technology.
This argument about working hard or working smart has been in existence for a long time, and when I think about it again, there is a lot to be thankful for when it comes to technology. Technology actually makes some hard work really easy and turns them into smart work, that is of course if we permit them, so in today's post, rather than engage you in the reason why you have to work hard instead of working smart, I will be feeding you with information on the importance of embracing technology.
As a leader, adopting technology and utilizing it appropriately, increases performance among workers in the place of work. Adopting technology increases the gap in performance between your company and others.
Working traditionally used to be a thing of the past, today we have a large number of people working conveniently remotely, technology made it possible for people to work from the comfort of their homes, and it gives employees the convenience to control their own work schedule and activities, bringing around the possibility of having a work/life balance. For companies, remote work has made it possible for them to connect with different categories of highly needed staff worldwide, it has become easier to connect with more skilled flexible workers and of course, people who can conveniently speak other languages.
What about the ability to order anything we want from the comfort of our homes, I was about to write almost anything but I remember that the e-commerce world has made it really easy to get anything/everything we need from the comfort of our homes, all we need is our mobile device/laptop with an internet connection and what we need will be delivered to our doorstep without stress.
Have you reasoned the available long list of skills we can conveniently learn on the internet, oh, we can even get a quality educational degree from the internet, and to make matters more interesting, you can have your original certificate delivered to you without any hassle?
The convenience that comes with carrying out transactions with a card or with a mobile application without carrying out excessive large cash around is a huge plus.
However, when embracing technology, we want to avoid drinking in just every form of technology that comes our way for the sake of it, every technology that is embraced, has to support a business objective or something that brings ease to whatever we do.
