RE: Second Day of Research and Finally Ordering My Laptop
(Edited)

After my laptop died a year ago, I got a good desktop from a friend with a computer business. Since I no longer teach at various locations, I didn't need a laptop and I get along with just my Kindle Fire when I am away from home. So far the desktop/tablet combo is working for me. (I do the same for sewing, having heavy metal machines I don't move plus a plastic portable I can take on the road.) As a homebody grandma, it works for me. I will keep in mind your research, though, if I go back to teaching and need a more functional portable option. !BBH

Actually, I don't use them for their mobile capabilities either, in most cases. Rather as a replacement for a desktop, smaller and with fewer cables and less noisy.
