Steem-Engine = 💀 DEX | Community Can Be Bigger Than Tech 🛠️

When did you last trade on Steem-Engine? It'been kind of dead for a while now. Sad part is Steem-Engine has really good tech to compete with other DEXs. I've paid lots of crypto when trading on Uniswap. Some of you guys might have spent more than my entire portfolio on fees alone 💰💰💰

That's not fun! Steem-Engine has 0 fees. All you need is a small fee to bridge assets. There's some listing fees etc. It's super cheap compared to almost everything else.

Basically 0 Changes From Pre-Fork

If anything is wrong - its'not coming from tech. It's not like Steem-Engine got attacked. Steem had a hostile takeover. But that's a governance thing. Old stuff that was ahead the game still works.

Logged Into See Some Tokens

There were 14 tokens to claim. Not sure if it has anything to do with chain replay thing. But some of these made me nostalgic - brought back some old memories posting in these SCOT Tribe stuff.

Crazy Marketcaps - No Volume

BTW this has been the case for at least months ⌛ I just thought of posting about this today. It's not just chain replay. I've checked trading volume out of curiosity. I don't think it went past $100 in a long time!

Actually You Don't Have To

Hive-Engine is Steem-Engine with few extra bits added. It's just Steem-Engine with a community behind it!

New changes to Hive with hard forks don't make much of a difference. The real factor that differentiate Steem vs Hive is most of original community went to focus on Hive.

That lead to some cool DeFi stats that are still overlooked. Almost nobody knows about Diesel Pool DeFi. It's so much better than Pancakeswap, Sushiswap etc. Reason is tech behind the Dapp. Steem & Hive share most of codebase. So both L2 Dapps should be able to perform at similar footing.

But somehow Steem doesn't have this:

If Steem could grow its community & promote DeFi - things could have gone so much better. With Tron connections of Justin Sun - there's the possibility to do even better than Hive-Engine with more integrations. But nobody seems to care enough to develop.

At least Korean & Indian posts are trending all the time. At least some folks are having a good time. @penguinpablo hasn't posted in months. So there's no comparative stats. At least DeFi stats are very very very CLEAR on who's got better stats to show 🏆

It's decentralized. Blurt is censorship resistant. I kind of think it'll be cooler with a Blurt-Engine and few Dapps 😎
