NFTs reach adult entertainment sites
A French platform created its own cryptocurrency known as Poken ($ PKN)
Rareporn, France's first erotic NFT platform, recently concluded its private sale and subsequent USD 2 million fundraising just three months after going live.
The site created by Marco Garniga and Nils Lataillade has become the first French adult entertainment NFT platform where users can own collectibles such as the underwear worn by their favorite actress, erotic videos and many more items in RarePorn's NFT format, in addition to POKEN. This site token will be presented at a fixed price or at auction, thus enhancing the owner's online collection and then deciding whether to safeguard these collections, resell them or use them as a source of income.
As reported by Garniga and Lataillade, the first NFT on the platform sold for 2.5 ETH, approximately $10,000 USD and was the first of its kind in the crypto space. The landmark sale included a private, exclusive video and authentic underwear from adult film actress Clea Gaultier. Badoo won the auction, but decided to keep the collectible in Rareporn's vaults to maintain its value.
Moreover, in addition to being an NFT erotic marketplace, the platform has also created its own cryptocurrency known as Poken ($ PKN). Users can buy them on the platform and pay content creators or leave them in the form of a tip. This approach puts content creators at the center of the ecosystem, leaving them outside the control of "parasitic" producers or platforms. And viewers of these erotic videos and images will also be rewarded with some $PKN tokens.
