What is the limit for humans? It is evident that at all times we are always overcoming our barriers and the advancement of technology brings with us the hope of being able to accomplish feats never before imagined by humanity for centuries.

Elon Musk may not be the darling of his competitors but one thing is for sure, he was the first businessman to put a rocket with humans in orbit. We already know that the space race is just beginning and one of the projects that most caught my attention from SpaceX is the Starship capable of taking us to the Moon and according to Musk, to Mars as well.

But how is the development of Starship?

Well, the concept of Starship has changed a lot since its official announcement in 2016, it had to decrease in size, it had to reduce the number of engines and it gained new landing brakes. We are facing the fourth interaction of the project. The cool thing is that today we can follow all this in real time, like seeing the transformation of its design and the different choices of engineers when they test their prototypes.

Starship's goal is to be a vehicle that allows humans to one day be an interplanetary species (I even remember the movie Interstellar), because if there is a global threat like an asteroid and take advantage of this technological advance that we are experiencing. The rocket is equipped to support cargo or crew and all of its equipment can be reusable.

Recently Elon Musk on Twitter said that his company is building floating spaceports for Super Heavy stage 1 rockets, which will be used in the launch of the Starship on trips to Mars, Moon and hypersonic trips around the world. So if you know any offshore operations engineers, it will be a great chance to make history.

Although tens of billions of dollars will be needed for this ambitious project that may someday be working, I hope it is here to be able to book my entry on the Moon or maybe spend a few days on Mars. SpaceX's success so far shows that new chapters in space exploration have begun and money may not be a problem this time.

Although millions of dollars will be needed for this ambitious project that may someday be working,...

You mean tens of billions will be needed.

Yes, at the moment I didn't want to be so expressive in the billions. But you are right, it will be many billions needed.

Thank you for the correction.
