I'm from a country that's pretty much 50% immigrants and 50% local. Also living and working abroad at the moment so i'm pretty pro-migration.

It does have problems if not managed well though in terms of ghettoization, discrimination, unfair hiring and employment practices so always have to do your homework.

You know how Star Wars always makes planets seem like one big country? I think technology's making that possible for us now. Like you mentioned, the pandemic is also helping with the adoption.

Yeah it can cause community rifts between race, its an odd view that I can never understand that people have. Just because someone is different they should be treated differently or that they are not equal. I don't know the thought process but it is imbedded in humans, some form of tribalism I'm sure it would have been helpful in the past as we evolved but not really a necessity now a days.
