Your point are valid and make sense. However, if everyone pushes their own frontend, sooner or later it will be very painful to follow all the communities one may be interested in. There is a reason I for example use Ecency 95% of the time.

That’s true too. I can not have so many accounts and use so many front ends. It just takes too long. I have deliberately cut down on my use of alts and front ends for this reason. I might just cut one more out of my curation efforts in the future. It won’t be StemGeeks though fortunately.
I get the point but do you follow everything On reddit?
Do you follow everything On YouTube?
Hive is getting too big to just follow, gotta make choices imo.
I don't want o follow everything, but if all the communities I follow push their own frontend, that's gonna be problematic for me (I know its a my problem). I was happy when I found Ecency and I thought that I can comment, post and follow people in different communities from the same place. Now as it goes I have to visit all of them separately, which is really inconvenient. The people who manage the communities have the right to do so as they please, I'm just pointing out that this decision may cost them followers.
