Walmart, one of the world's biggest retail company which has topped Fortune 500 companies as far back as 2014, filed seven trademarks late December 2021 with the plan of make and sell virtual goods which would include electronics, toys, sporting goods, home decor and personal products ( a additionion to their normal business).
Another file showed that Walmart has the intention to make it into the metaverse where users can shop in virtual world with the plan to create its own cryptocurrency and non fungible tokens NFTs.

Technology has really been very impactful in our world today ever since the first computer was introduced to the world, life has been easier and simpler and now it's only getting more interesting that what's to come next beats our imagination and leave us overwhelmed and interested in the next big thing.

Clearly, Facebook was the first after its name was changed to Meta, which spawn curiosity around the world but now getting clearer as the day goes by.
Nike made its move around October last year when Nike filed seven trademarks that indicated entry into the metaverse through virtual goods.

That's not all from the top retail company, Walmart which also has intention to trademark the brands name and logo in Virtual Reality VR and Augmented Reality AR.
Walmart is actually leaving no stone unturned to retain it's spot as the world's largest company while continuing its reign on the number one spot of Fortune 500 companies for almost a decade now.

We recently saw Disney World move not too long ago about the metaverse, so it heartwarming to see more big names make their move has they shift their stand about the virtual world be it for profits or total understanding because they intend to embrace the Metaverse.

Adidas and Under Armor sold out their NFTs and are at sky rocket prices on opensea.
