If anything it should create more jobs and higher paying jobs. Yes less human work but someone still has to manage them, watch for quality control etc etc. It's just the labor that's being taken out. Labor does make up a large work force though compared to the few that are needed on the tech end but those tech end jobs should be paying 5x what the labor job was. At least I would think.

That might be true but that does not bode well for the overall economy. If you have tens of millions automated out, how does the 15% or whatever who benefit from the higher pay do to compensate for that.

It is not healthy for an economy to have a decreasing participation rate in employment.

And I believe this is going to surprise people how quickly it comes up. It is still being ignored right now but I think it will slap everyone in the face within 5 years.
