Splinterlands meets Leo
Here's a bit of news that went a bit under the radar but is actually quite the big deal around here. I love the idea of healthy competition but at the end of the day, it is all about the growth of the entire Hive ecosystem as a whole and this combination between Splinterlands and Leo is just that.
Amongst the updates from this post, it was announced that players can now buy in-game credits using Leo.
Leo now joins an illustrious list of accepted tokens within the game that includes Bitcoin Cash, EOS, Bitcoin and many others.
Buying Credits with your Leo is easy and straight forward from the desktop application. So people like @revise.leo @onealfa.leo and many other SPlinterlands players that are also active on Leo have extra incentive to be active around here.

I actually did not know about this. I've been a little inactive on Splinterlands, but it's really great news. Do they charge a small fee for doing this? Or they just use the market price?

How does the LBI work? I powered up all my liquid leo recently, but I intend to diversify a bit with the incoming earning.

it's alot like a 'fund' or a pool of investments - they do all the diversify crap - backers collect the profits
(it's a little harder than that - but the tl;dr)
it's like another SPInvest (i have been trying to grab a few of those too)
