The series that we will try to put together over the next few days is not a series of postage stamps, it is series - Postage Due Stamp.

If, in the air, you find yourself in one of the African countries and the postman who brought you a letter demands payment from you, do not rush to grab a baseball bat and drive away the extortionist postman, look carefully at the envelope.

If a triangular postage stamp is glued to the envelope, then everything is correct. The person who sent you the letter thought that your wallet will be able to cope with these costs, this letter is paid by the recipient.

It is a simple but very effective and convenient technology for postmen and those who want to keep their nervous system in a cold mind.

This series Postage Due Stamp, released in 1962 at Central African Republic.

She received a modest name - Insects 1962.

A bit strange, one would think that, in 1963, presumably. new species of beetles will appear, which will supplant beetles from 1962.

But, there is no pomp, like - the National Treasure of the Central African Republic, this is, after all, just beetles, lol.

But, this is an interesting beetle that adorned the banknotes of these Postage Due Stamp.

The first postage stamp, with a face value of 0.5 Central African CFA franc, features Jewel Longhorn Beetle (Sternotomis gama) - family Cerambycidae.

The beetle depicted is very different from those beetles, photographs of which can be seen on the Internet.

I would say that the recognition of this image is very low, as well as very scant information in the same Wikipedia about these bugs.

I can assume that these beetles got their name for their color, gold and emerald, they look like the work of a jeweler, and the word "Jewel" is appropriate here.

The price of this Postage Due Stamp is insignificant, up to 12 US cents, and the circulation is unknown. Apparently he is huge. I wouldn't be surprised if these postage stamps were reissued as needed, like some crypto coins.
