RE: Robots Against Humanity - AI Revolution Is Imminent

Just like humans learn by observation when growing up and act based on these experiences, machines also need the experience of observing and learning. For this reason we need massive amount of data for them to learn from. It is only recently with progress in computer technologies, we started generating, sharing, and storing massive amounts of data. This wasn't possible before. Hence, AI wouldn't be possible before either.

Johnny 5 new this years ago when he was constantly on the search for input reference is to an 80s movie called Short Circuit, about a robot with feelings that goes on the run - a great movie for kids and adults alike

Big tech companies like Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, and others are in the race of building the best AI. I doubt they have the best interests of humans in their mind.

Definitely not, it is all about the bottom dollar and how much profits are there to be made with many of the larger hyper-scalers.

You are right about AI though, it is certainly here to stay and Automation, Nano Technology, Robotics, Virtualisation are where it is at and will continue to go along with AI. We are at an important junction though, and as a collective we must thread carefully, as giving the machines and AI too much autonomy and ability to learn has many potentially dystopian outcomes. Each use case should be carefully thought through and there should be an ethics board worldwide which decides what is allowed and what is not.

A very enjoyable read as always @geekgirl
