Hello and welcome to my page. My name is Daniel @daniky. I want to share a Life experience with you regarding my late landlady that lost her life to the cold hands of death 3years ago. The purpose of this content is for the sake of our self-improvement for a better health and to safe the life of someone out there who may need this content to improve their better lifestyle.

Mrs Bamidele was a petty trader (an unskilled merchant) and single mother who was left with the responsibility of catering for her 5 kids about 20years ago. Before then, she was a full house wife. Her husband left her with the kids at home when they were still residing at lagos and decided to remarry a young pretty lady from the same lagos. This marked the beginning of nightmares between Mrs Bamidele and her husband as he no longer cares about her welfare and that of his children as well.

Situations kept degenerating as Mrs Bamidele who had no job or support system was now left alone with the responsibility of fending for herself and the children. Life became so tough that she sold her clothes and shoes to for the sake of her children's upkeep. The children dropped out of school as she could no longer afford paying their school fees, yet her husband never bothered to know how their children were coping (since he was enjoying his new bride). Mrs Bamidele had been a caring wife to her husband and mother to her kids and they were living happily before the strange lady came into the picture. Many attributed this situation as an extraordinarily strange one.

Mrs Bamidele did all it takes to sort the house rentage but all went to no availed when the landlord of her residence ushered her and the kids out of his house, littering her belonging outside the house under the rain. She called her friends and siblings but none could decide to give a helping hand till she was fortunate to get a little financial aid from her late uncle who sent her little money to convey her properties to their family house at Ilorin (since Mrs Bamidele's mum and dad are no more). So Mrs Bamidele started managing the family house in as much none of her siblings reside in the family house. So she rented out some of the apartments within the compound to interested tenants (which I was privileged to be among the tenant). From there she was able to start up her mini merchant business, send her children to school till university level before she broke down healthwise and was diagnosed with liver and renal cancer. In addition to this, she was battling with coronary heart diseases and partial stroke (Oh no, this is just too much).

Before the diagnosis, Mrs Bamidele has been a fan of caffeinated drinks, she love fried delicacies, doesn't take fruit or medicines, love starving herself most time for the sake of her children which later resulted to ulcer. She wasn't cautious of her health and wellbeing. Being a biochemistry student those years I did all it takes to keep advising her on what to eat and food she should avoid for the sake of preventing health diseases. She never took to my advises. She rather says she has been in this world long before me, so I do not have to be teaching her of what to take or avoid because she's more knowledgeable than me. I made her see reasons why she must add fruits to her daily diets but she do say she's not a fan of fruit because it do purges her.

I noticed she love cooking meals in cellophane bags which may contain toxic chemicals that causes cancer ♋ , she puts her meal in cellophane and microwave it always, she fries virtually all her meals and take more of eggs which are major cause of transfers and high levels of bad cholesterol (LDL). Well, I couldn't blame her because her mindset was different and this was among what caused the sudden predicament for her.

The moment she was diagnosed of liver and renal cancer, jaundice, kidney stone and heart failure, she now saw the need to have yielded to the right part to a healthy lifestyle. Though the moment was too late as she spent virtually all the money made from her business purse for diverse surgical operations. She sold out her entire goods, television, clothes and other accessories while leaving her children with nothing (Though they're now grown and are adults). I visited her at the hospital and she pleaded for taking all my advises for granted. She said she never know the situation of the human body can be this way if proper precaution is not taken. She barely lived up to a week after that moment before she passed on. I wished she yielded to my advises and make use of of them applicably her health situation shouldn't had deteriorated the the level it was, and she shouldn't have lost her life as well. What a pain and a pity.

Lessons We must learn

  1. You bear the outcome of what goes into your mouth. So watch what you eat. Eating at a restaurant can be risky at times because you never know the way the meal is being prepared. So, be mindful of what you eat. Eat wise and eat healthy.
  2. Cooked meals are more safer than fried ones. Most at times, the structural conformation of macronutrients and enzymes are been denatured due to high temperature from the fried meal.
  3. Include Fruits to your diet: These are vitamins required in the body which can help facilitate healthy digestion and assimilation of your food particles. Besides this, they help build a healthier and stronger immune system to help fight against unwanted germs and bacteria.
  4. Regulate your level of sugar intake: sugar can be so sweet that you might become so addicted if proper care is not taken to ensure adequate regulation. Excessive storage of sugar ends as fat (which may result in one being overweight or obese) and may be glycated where one gradually becomes older than his/her age.
  5. Avoid cooking with rubber or plastic spoons. Avoid the use of hot cellophane on food as its constituent chemical compounds can be carcinogenic.
  6. Cut down on your alcohol level
  7. Engage in frequent exercises and avoid sedentary lifestyles. (exercise as much as you eat)
  8. Go for comprehensive health check up at least once in a year to know how your entire body feels.
  9. Make sure you never stop drinking water because water refreshes your body and immune system
  10. Take food or fruits rich in antioxidant e.g carrot, orange, pineapple, banana, ginger, garlic etc and ulcer patients should avoid acidic food nutrients.

It is often said that prevention is better than cure and "health is wealth." So, never take your health for granted. By these self improvement techniques I hope you'll definitely get the desired result of a resounding and lasting health. Please stay safe, awesome and alive.

You did your best. You can't force a person to change their lifestyle. Even if she had been a relative, you couldn't have made her unless she wanted to listen.

That's true @wrestlingdesires. I did my best, though I'm not happy she later lost her life but I got to leave all to fate to take its course.

Yes, you can only do your best, then trust that things will turn out ok in the end. We don't control the choice of others, except with young children.
