If it rains continuously, the mushrooms wither and die
Lately the rainy season has hit our area, so that every rainy day, I have to stay at home and eat and sleep at home.
after the rain stopped for a while I tried to get out of the house to look in the backyard, lots of dead plants, like some of the mushrooms I found.
I see this mushroom has withered and died. And there are some mushrooms growing on tree trunks. The mushroom also looks wilted. Maybe this mushroom has been submerged in a lot of floods.
The mushroom shape that I found was small and large with a wilted brown color.
I searched for this fungus via the Wikipedia website Laccaria laccata
commonly known as the deceiver, or waxy laccaria, is a white-spored species of small edible mushroom found throughout North America and Europe. It is a highly variable mushroom (hence 'deceiver'), and can look quite washed out, colorless and drab, but when younger it often assumes red, pinkish brown, and orange tones. The species is often considered by mushroom collectors to be a 'mushroom weed' because of its abundance and plain stature.
Here are some photos of mushrooms that have withered due to continuous rain
