It was a beautiful Monday morning after I had over slept from the hangover from the party I attended the previous night. Got a phone call from the office requesting me going for a survey at agege, which I saw it as a good position for me to explore Lagos and also make a post about it. So I got off from my bed got dressed and set out to haul an Uber which should take me to the location. While the journey commenced I joined the office Monday meeting which was scheduled for every Monday on zoom.

We just gone through Ikeja heading towards shop rite we were stopped by policeman, I didn’t pay too much attention to it because I thought the stop and search was geared towards the Uber driver, until the policeman told to come down from the car. At this point I wasn’t confused cause that’s Nigerian police force way of behaving, so I came down from the car and I was told to open my bag which I did without hesitation for two major reasons:

  1. I was running late for the project inspection.
  2. I try as much as possible to avoid any trouble when dealing with these folks.
After he saw I was clean I entered the vehicle and told him that if it was a civilized world you would need a search warrant before you can go into people private property.

The we drove off the traffic was light and the road network was good I must commend that, I have been hearing agage I never knew that they didn’t lack good roads. Agege was one of the most dreadful place in Lagos after mushin, I can imagine growing up there would be. It might either impact you negatively of positively, well I was made to understand that part of agage which I visited was the safest and it’s popularly called government reserved area (GRA).

So we arrived maple wood estate entrance gate we told by the security to park on the left hand side of the street while I called the client to call the gate to allow us pass. I arrived the site quarter past eleven(11). Which the site workers informed the architect on ground that I have arrived, after the warm salutations we went straight to business.

I was shown the structural drawing, electrical drawing, and mechanical drawings too. So he further explained that the building structure is almost finished and they are said to vacant site by February 2022. With a two hundred million naira project you shouldn’t expect any hiccups, so as an extra low service professional I pitched we make it a smart home with full automation from the lightings to the air conditioning.

So after so many explanations giving on how it works and questions which were answered rightly I also decided to suggest other services to the client representative which I made him see the need of the client having a security system which is the close monitoring system solution, a bit of entertainment which is the recessed ceiling speakers for home entertainment. It was a long meet I was taking around the site to access the progress of work that has been carried out so we know where we can come in when the project is awarded to my company eventually.

The project which is five (5) bedroom duplex with an office downstairs, an ante room, sixty per cent of glass walls, a storage room for fresh foods and a gate house too. It so unbelievable to me that someone is having this edifice done on the main land, we rounded up the meeting and we exchanged contacts so in case of further conversation.
