Microsoft hat vor Kurzem weitere 10 Milliarden in OpenAI investiert und angekündigt AI in alle ihre Produkte zu integrieren.
Neben Word und Outlook könnte auch Bing enorm von ChatGPT profitieren und manche denken sogar, dass GPT mittelfristig Google ersetzen könnte, da man sich damit das Durchscrollen von Suchergebnissen ersparen und gleich die Antwort bekommt könnte, die man gesucht hat.
Allerdings eignet sich ChatGPT, wie wir gesehen haben, im Moment nicht wirklich gut für Wissensfragen.
Manchmal bekommt man verblüffend gute Antworten, aber oft erfindet ChatGPT einfach etwas und klingt dabei 100% überzeugend, auch wenn es ein völliger Blödsinn ist.
Das stellt die kommerzielle Einsetzbarkeit in Suchmaschinen und Office-Produkten in Frage.
Ein Leak auf Medium zeigt eine neue Version von Bing, die GPT-4 integriert hat und offenbar einige dieser Einschränkungen überwunden hat.
Zunächst dürfte GPT-4 auf Bing Zugang zu aktuellen Suchergebnissen bekommen und damit auch auf Informationen nach 2021 zugreifen können. Eine künstliche Einschränkung von ChatGPT.
Und die noch wichtigere Neuerung, die auf den geleakten Screenshots zu sehen ist, sind Quellenangaben.
GPT-4 verlinkt auf Suchergebnisse und fasst diese möglicherweise zusammen.
Das könnte tatsächlich funktionieren und Google unter Zugzwang bringen, selbst etwas in die Richtung zu veröffentlichen.
Im Moment befindet sich Google sozusagen im Innovator's Dilemma. Einerseits forschen sie selber auf dem Gebiet von AI und haben große Fortschritte erzielt, andererseits haben sie Angst, dass KI die Suchmaschine ersetzen und dadurch ihr Business-Modell kannibalisieren könnte, das hauptsächlich auf Werbung auf Google und auf Webseiten basiert.
Stellt euch vor Microsoft wurde auch noch DALL-E 2 in Bing integrieren.

Microsoft has recently invested another 10 billion in OpenAI and announced to integrate AI into all their products.
Besides Word and Outlook, Bing could also benefit enormously from ChatGPT and some even think that GPT could replace Google in the medium term, as it could save you scrolling through search results and get the answer you were looking for right away.
However, as we have seen, ChatGPT is not really good for knowledge questions at the moment.
Sometimes you get amazingly good answers, but often ChatGPT just makes something up and sounds 100% convincing, even if it's complete nonsense.
This calls into question its commercial viability in search engines and office products.
A leak on Medium shows a new version of Bing that has GPT-4 integrated and appears to have overcome some of these limitations.
GPT-4 on Bing should be able to access current search results and thus access information after 2021. An artificial limitation of ChatGPT.
And the even more important change, which can be seen on the leaked screenshots, is citing sources.
GPT-4 links to search results and potentially summarizes them.
This could actually work and put Google under pressure to release something similar themselves.
Right now, Google is in an innovator's dilemma, so to speak. On the one hand, they are researching AI themselves and have made great progress, but on the other hand, they are afraid that AI could replace their search engine and thereby cannibalize their business model, which is mainly based on advertising on Google and on websites.
Imagine Microsoft would also integrate DALL-E 2 into Bing.
