Sort of weird you mention covid, in India they are having a similar outbreak from a soil bacterium especially among people who have had covid. I wonder if these individuals had covid?

That’s not a bacteria. That’s a fungal infection.

Likely opportunistic given the focus on people with diabetes and the immunocompromised.

Guess I am letting my unknows side run away from me, wondering if they had covid, if they were diabetics, if it's something in covid since they have never found the source, how two known soil contaminates are involved, how covid effects diabetics....my mind going into overload...but it's okay that way it gets planted deep enough in case I come across other similar articles, now a days you never know what's going to hook up to what.
