I rather doubt the infinity, although I don't have any grounds in which I doubt it on😂.
It's rather easy for humans to simply believe in something based on the romanticism of that thing.

The infinity of the universe is something that has been used in stories, logs and books when it is potentially incorrect.
People tend to believe in such things due to how cool or fascinating it sounds and nothing is more fascinating than being in a space without an end, emphasizing on how small and irrelevant we are in such a big space.

The universe is drastically large and bastardly enormous yes...
Infinite? Maybe...(personal feeling: No)
