This article, reports that patients with high uncarboxylated, dephosphorylated Matrix Gla Protein, a marker of vitamin K2 deficiency is correlated with increased mortality in patients who have an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). This means that vitamin K2 may have a role for people at risk of having an AAA.
