This article compares the differences between the pulmonary patterns of COVID-19 and influenza virus pneumonia. It shows that COVID-19 shows more peripheral findings, whereas influenza pneumonia has more mucoid impaction and pleural effusion. In spite of certain differences, to distinguish them in the clinical setting remains difficult.
