Little by little I am getting fond of everything that is related to minerals, in my last post I was describing the main aspects of minerals including their properties but today I visit the "Museo de Geologia" in the center of Lisbon to delve into the geology It is the first time that I dedicate a post to this interesting science, I brought my 105mm sigma macro lens to photograph each mineral exposed in the museum and thus create a post with a deeper focus on the beauty that geology encompasses.🧠🤔💎

Poco a poco voy agarrando cariño a todo lo que esta relacionado con los minerales, en mi post pasado estuve describiendo los aspectos principales de los minerales incluyendo sus propiedades pero hoy visito el "Museo de Geologia" en el centro de Lisboa para profundizar sobre la geologia que es primera vez que dedico un post a esta interesante ciencia, traje mi lente macro 105mm sigma para fotografiar cada mineral expuesto en el museo y asi crear un post con un enfoque mas profundo sobre la belleza que abarca la geologia.👨💻🔬🧫

I can't hide my excitement about visiting this museum and so far it has been the best museum I've ever visited in my life! has more than 1500 copies of original scientific articles, crazy! It took more than 3 hours to see 2 parts of the museum since it is divided into 3 sections, it was impossible to create a single post with so much information, so I divided the museum into two posts, one part on minerals and geology and the other on fossils and evolution human!(1)😮📚💎
No puedo esconder mi emocion sobre haber visitado este museo y hasta ahora ha sido el mejor museo que visite en mi vida! tiene mas de 1500 ejemplares de articulos cientificos originales, una locura!!! demore mas de 3 horas para ver 2 partes del museo ya que esta se divide en 3 secciones era imposible crear un solo post con tanta informacion por lo que dividi el museo en dos post una parte de minerales y geologia y la otra de fosiles y evolucion humana!(1)👨💻🤔🧠
The museum was founded in 1859 one of the oldest in Portugal, all the samples that are exhibited in the museum were collected by the "Geological and Mining Institute" all this was possible thanks to the contribution of two great scientists: "Carlos Ribeiro, Nery Delgado, Paul Choffat (1)" the museum has an ancient approach that dates back to the 19th century and is highly valued because there are few like it left in Europe! There are many scientists who consider this museum "The father of museums" and I agree. In my life I have visited more than 60 science museums around the world and I have never seen anything like it!👨💻📚😮
El museo fue fundado en 1859 uno de los mas antiguos de Portugal, todas las muestras que se exhiben en el museo fueron recolectadas por el "Instituto geologico y minero" todo esto fue posible gracias a la contribucion de dos grandes cientificos: "C. Ribeiro, N. Delgado(1)" el museo tiene un enfoque antiguo que data del siglo XIX y que es muy valorado porque quedan pocos como el en europa! hay muchos cientificos que consideran este museo como "El padre de los museos" y estoy de acuerdo ya en mi vida visite mas de 60 museos de ciencia alrededor de todo el mundo y nunca vi nada igual!🌲🍃🐌🦗🕵️♂️
It's not just about collecting lots of geological resources and putting them behind a glass case! the museum does not work that way, here we are told the story of each piece we see! And to make the museum more interesting, there are pieces up to 230 million years old. Incredible, right? I think the oldest object I saw in my life was here👨🏫🕵️♂️
No se trata simplemente de recolectar muchos recursos geologicos y colocarlos detras de una vitrina! el museo no funciona de esa forma, aqui se nos cuenta la historia de cada pieza que observamos! y para hacer el museo mas interesante hay piezas de hasta 230millones de años increible no?? creo que el objeto mas antiguo que vi en mi vida fue aqui🌎👨🏫

Before continuing we must define what "Geology" means: "it is known as the science that studies the composition, structure, history and dynamics of our planet earth(2)" but Geology also has the important job of investigating the earth's resources such is the case: (water, energy and minerals among others)(2)👨🏫🕵️♂️.
Antes de continuar debemos definir que significa "Geologia:" "es conocida como la ciencia que estudia la composicion, estructura, historia y dinamica de nuestro planeta tierra(2)" pero la Geologia tambien tiene el importante trabajo de investigar los recursos de la tierra tal es el caso: (agua, energia y minerales entre otros)(2).💥💎🌊
This large anthracite rock caught my attention, it was collected here in Portugal, it is created by the pressure of the layers, and it is composed of 98% fixed carbon, in Portugal this mineral began to form more than 300 million years ago in the late of the carbon age!👨🏫🕵️♂️
Me llamo la atencion esta gran roca de antracite, fue recolectada aqui en Portugal se crea por la presion de las capas, y esta compuesta con un 98% de carbono fijo, en Portugal este mineral comenzo a formarce hace mas de 300millones de años en finales de la era carbonica!🌎👨🏫
Many underestimate Geology because they believe that it only studies "a simple rock" and it is not like that, it also covers the processes that affect natural resources! I must add that this science "delves into fossils and also natural disasters(2)🤔👨💻"

Our society depends on Geology to understand its needs, just as medicine, biology or any other science has a direct and deep relationship with us! we can use Geology to find ways to manage "better environmental resources and lead a more sustainable life(2)"🤯👨💻🤔

I believe that without Geology we would not be able to understand how our planet has evolved over the years, we can analyze how an animal evolved based on its "skeleton" to better understand minerals and how old the earth is.(3)👨🏫🕵️♂️

I am a Biologist and whoever asks me what is the most important profession on the planet, I will obviously say Biology because we study a little of everything from medicine to mathematics, but Geology has an important relationship with us because without Biology paleontology would never be born and without knowledge Biological a paleontologist can not understand a dinosaur!(3)🦴🦖

Finally, if you are interested in studying Geology, let me tell you that it is a profession that lasts between 4-5 years, it is a "bachelor's degree", if you do not like exact sciences then I do not recommend studying Geology because you are going to study mathematics and physics between other subjects such as biology, chemistry, history.👨🎓👨🎓
Por ultimo si te interesa estudiar Geologia dejame decirte que es una profesion que tiene una duracion entre 4-5 años, es una "licenciatura", si no te gustan las ciencias exactas entonces no te recomiendo estudiar Geologia porque vas a cursar matematica y fisica entre otras asignaturas como Biologia, quimica, historia.👩🎓👩🎓
