This post brings back great memories of my husband's uncle. When he retired, he had to find a community with a homeowner's association that would not object to his radio tower. He and my father-in-law were both electrical engineers.

You will be having a lot of fun assembling all those electronics Randy, just make sure to mitigate any static electricity discharges, enjoy your day and stay awesome.

Thanks, My man cave where I have my work space is in the basement on a cement floor, so I have a very low static work area. The workbench is an old metal topped desk and I assemble on a anti-static mat.

The anti-static mat sounds like a good plan, do you have a bracelet connected to it as well so you can ground yourself to it?

No, I do not ground myself. I have never had a static problem with my setup in the basement on the metal desk. I make a habit of touching the metal desktop often.
