Nah, I think it's a combination of all those except for the US takedown one.

This is how little faith I have in the American government right now.

from what I've seen of the cybersecurity community on LinkedIn and Twitter, a good deal of them have become almost as politicized as the natsec community.

it doesn't matter in which way either; putting aside reality to conform to political goals affects competence.
