Who do Executives Blame for Cybersecurity Failures?
My rant in response to the former CEO of SolarWinds pointing the finger of blame at an intern in an attempt to redirect cybersecurity responsibility, highlights a lack of understanding and accountability within the c-suite.
Do better!

Thats the reality of this cyber world. Anybody from a peon to intern can be the scapegoat for such vulnerabilities
That is a sad state to be in. I agree, it is the reality for many organizations. But we all have an obligation to speak up and inform the business world that it is not acceptable. Collectively, we as consumers, have a powerful voice. They must do better.
C-suite always like to shift the blame on someone else when there are top down measures to mitigate potential fallout.
That is such a poor show of leadership. It really undermines the confidence and morale of the team.
It seems to be the common theme across industries.
How does a CEO blame an intern for such a major loss?
