I’m thinking of upgrading to a better GPU myself, so it’s interesting to find out that undervolting can also help you with performance.

Usually undervolting will give you a very small loss in performance, but a big return on power usage. I think if I used a more demanding benchmark, I would likely have seen a small loss in performance as well.
