Have a close look at the image given and see if you are able to get to the right number of TRIANGLES that are in the given image above. Try finding out the right NUMBER of triangles from the image. It's not 10, nor 15 - ok I'm not going to give you the answer. See if you can solve it with your mental Maths capabilities. There is logic to resolve the puzzle; try finding out the logic and it should be resolved in seconds.. Guesswork isn't going to help...

Maths Brain Teasers 82:: Can you Fill the Empty Square? - Solved with Explanation

Let's have a look at the Step by Step instructions to Solve the **Maths Brain Teasers 82:: Can you Fill the Empty Square??? **

If you carefully look at the Image in question; You would have noticed the following pattern is being followed::

The pattern recognized and given by @riandeuk is correct; which is::

  • You take the place in the alphabet for each and multiply them (for each set of three).

Let's take the example of the first image::

  • J equates to numeral 10

  • F equates to numeral 6

  • equates to numeral 14

Now multiply the numeral like::

JFN = 10 * 6 * 14 makes 840 as can be seen in the picture.

Now, let's take the image in question::

  • O equates to numeral 15

  • D equates to numeral 4

  • I equates to numeral 9

15 * 4 * 9 = 540

Hence the answer to the Maths Brain Teasers 82:: Can you Fill the Empty Square? is the Number :: 0

My guess is 24 triangles.

I'm with Minus Pi with this one and will stake a claim on 26!
I've stared at this for hours and can't see how I could get 28! I look forward to the answer on this one :-)
