Hey All; @StemGeeks Mathematician;

First of all, I would like to announce that I've rolled over the STEM reward for the Math Brain Teasers 16. As we didn't have any entry which gave the right answers. It looks like you all missed one important occurrence of the number 5 in the number range of 1 to 100. See the explanation below for the right answer which was 20. I've explained it with a detailed explanation as to why the answer is 20. Since there was no reward for the last quiz, this time for Math Brain Teasers 17:: the reward is 20 STEM tokens to be WON...

With that here is the Math Brain Teasers for today. Have a look at the basket of Mangoes. And here is the Rule to the Puzzle::

There are 6 Mangoes in the Basket RIGHT. So what you need to do is divided mangoes amongst 6 people. Remember that that you need to divide/distribute the mangoes in such a way that each person gets a Mango and ONE Mango should remain in the Basket.

I repeat ONE Mango should remain in the Basket as well.. Can You Divide the Mangoes Equally??

Math Brain Teasers 16:: Find How Many Times Number Puzzle?- Solved with Explanation

Step 1 Check for digit 5 appearing as the last sequence in the following range i.e. [5, 15, 25, 35 .... 95]

Hence the digit 5 Appears in the above range 10 times

Step 2 Check for digit 5 appearing as the first sequence in the following range [50, 51, 52, 53 .... 59]

Hence the digit 5 Appears in the above range 10 times

Therefore the correct answer is 20 times the digit 5 occurs in the number sequence 1 to 100
