Moving heavy things often has to be done with tricks as it's often heavier than the machine can handle. In our case, we got a fairly light loader that can handle 650kg. Farm equipment tends to have conservative ratings and in this case, we could like 800kg 4cm of the ground. The trick in this case was to lift not with the end of the loader but with ropes around the middle part of the fram. Shortening the boom and thus force needed.
Than the drove away the cart instead of lifting it further, so the tractor only had to drive forward in to the workplace.
We couldn't put it directly on the ground as a part of the machine was hitting the tractor so we parked it on planks and then I jacked it up with a heavy jack on one side remove 1 plank and repeated it till it was standing lower and save.
Winches, pulleys, gravity, jacks can move incredible weights. There is person that could make the stonehenge again with just old fashioned tools. :)
