These flashing lights, according to a friend, are low-end. He indicates that it is common for them to be damaged. I'm not an electronics technician, I just have basic knowledge. So in this article I will only show how I managed to find the solution, which is not perfect, but at least it can continue to be used for a while longer. The model is written on the back. In the following way: VistaLite 300 Series (Pat# 5313187, 5313188).

Estas luces intermitentes, según un amigo son de gama baja. Él indica que es común que se dañen. No soy técnico especialista en electrónica, solo poseo conocimientos básicos. Por lo que en este artículo solo mostraré como logré dar con la solución, que no es perfecta, pero al menos se puede seguir utilizando por un tiempo más.
El modelo está escrito en la parte trasera. De la siguiente manera: VistaLite 300 Series (Pat# 5313187, 5313188).

The tools I used were the following:

• Phillips head screwdriver
• Multimeter
• Tin
• A cable to make a bridge.
• soldering iron / Cautin

Las herramientas que utilicé fueron las siguientes:
• Destornillador de estrías
• Multímetro
• Estaño
• Un cable para hacer un puente.
• Cautín

1st: Battery check / Verificación de baterías

Pressing the power button does nothing, so let's go with the main thing, making sure the batteries (in this case it uses two AA) have the right voltage to work.
When measuring each one, they gave as result 1.7v, this indicates that both are well. The approximate voltage should be 1.5v. (Possibly the multimeter in this case gives a slightly higher result than it should).

Al presionar el botón de encendido no hace nada, así que vamos con lo principal, asegurarnos que las baterías (en este caso usa dos AA) tienen el voltaje adecuado para funcionar.
Al medir cada una, dieron como resultado 1. 7v, esto indica que ambas están bien. El voltaje aproximado debe ser de 1.5v. (Posiblemente el multímetro en este caso da un resultado un poco mas alto de lo que debería).

2nd: Testing bridges / :Probando puentes

I have made two bridges, which has resulted in the intermittent and fixed lighting of the LEDs. Through the following diagram I explain how I have done it:

Where I can highlight the following; in the flashing mode there are times when it turns on automatically without pressing the button, but sometimes it is necessary to press the button so that it can turn on. Another thing to highlight is the duration time, there are times when it does not turn off, and there are times when it takes a certain time to turn on and then turn off again.
In the Fixed mode; when the jumper is made it is always on without the need to use the button or push-button.
Since the purpose of this device is to make it blink or flash, I will simply solder a bridge in the first way explained, even though it is not a perfect solution, and it has an unpredictable operation.

Donde puedo resaltar lo siguiente; en el modo intermitente hay momentos en los que enciende automáticamente sin presionar el botón, pero en ocasiones es necesario pulsar el botón para que pueda encender. Otra cosa a resaltar es el tiempo de duración, hay ocasiones en las que no se apaga, y hay momentos en las que tarda un tiempo determinado encendido y luego se vuelve a apagar.
En el modo Fijo; al realizar el puente queda siempre encendido sin necesidad hacer uso del botón o pulsador.
Como el fin de este dispositivo es que titile o sea intermitente, simplemente soldaré un puente de la primera forma explicada,a pesar que no es una solución perfecta, y tiene un funcionamiento poco predecible.

3rd: Welding a Bridge / Soldar un Puente

4th: Testing and assembly / Realizar pruebas y armar

When I put the batteries in, I can feel it lighting up.

Al colocar las pilas o baterías puedo notar que enciende.

Conclusion / Conclusión:

I can assume that the integrated circuit is a "555", and for some reason it no longer works properly. What can be assured is that the button and LEDs are in good condition.
With this I have managed to solve in part the failure. As I said at the beginning, is not a perfect solution, but we can give more use to the device. Perhaps these tests can help you to make a diagnosis if you have a similar failure in a device of this type.

Puedo suponer que el circuito integrado es un “555”, y por alguna razón este ya no funciona correctamente. Lo que se puede asegurar es que el pulsador y los leds están en buen estado.
Con esto he logrado solventar en parte la falla. Como comenté al principio, no es una solución perfecta, pero podemos darle más uso al dispositivo. Tal vez estas pruebas puedan servirte para realizar un diagnostico si presentas una falla similar en un aparato de este tipo.
