From the elementary particles to Rutherford's model

In the previous publication comment on the atom and model of Bohr, where I mentioned although the atomic model of Rutherford explains the distribution of positive and negative charges in the atom, it presents a serious problem of instability. For this occasion I bring to them Rutherford's model which has contents of the fundamental particles.


For many physicist already finishing the sigo the XIXth, they began to experiment on pipes of gas discharges, the flow of the current, managing as result, to the moment to apply raised potential difference by means of electrodes, at the same time air particles are attracted in the pipe, which is covered on a screen with sulfide of phosphorus and zinc placed in the electrodes, making to shine for the side that stays opposite to the cathode, in this essay proves to be to us that the discharge originates in the cathode, which goes towards the anode, doing famous these beams with the denomination of cathode. The standard model is the most important synthesis in the physics of elementary particles of last decades, nevertheless it has problems that prevent from being a finished theory of the elementary particles, many of the fundamental quantities that are needed are not known exactly; for example there is not known if the neutrinos have mass at rest.

Thinking that the matter is certain that is electrically neutral, aume that particles exist loaded positively, what one knows as beam channel aprte of that also persites positive ions formed after the molecualas of the gas lose electrons, encuanto to the hydrogen they are formed by atoms of the element that hanperdido an electron and that to suvez are named prtones, already teneiendo a notion of the content the elementary particles we bring in on the subject of Rutherford's model which is important as the study of the atomic structure.

For 1911, Retherford was in conditions to explain these remarks; I postulate that most of the mass of the atom and all his positive load, they were residing in a very small region, extredamente dense wing that called nucleus. Most of the entire volume of atom was an empty space in which electrons were moving aldedor of the nucleus.

Rutherford's model



Want to contribute the following thing, the científicon Enest Reutherford, tabajo in model of simulation of dispersion of the particles alpha, which observed deslisarce for a metal plate, also adding material radioctivo as issuing agent of the particles, content in a receptacle of lead, applied to this one himself a design of diaphragm, to stimulate the exit of the particle fiñtrada in a golden plate, and in the end everything covered it with fulfuro with Zinc. With this exprimento it was possible to be proved that the atom deberiar to be bacio and in turn loaded positively, so that cilculen to his surroundings the negative load that shapes the electrons, for it the relation of scientific content with reference of the elementary particles, and in such a way that one endures the atom in this situation of the handling of the particle in alpha, sim impeded a proton they have equal charges of opposite sign, the caul are not particles, demasa different, it is for it that several interaciones of particles exist as the gravitational one, the electromagnetic one, strongly weakly and a high force, it is for it is facilitated the study of the nuclei and his interacin with the protrones and neutrons.
