Our memory has more connections with eyes than brains, according to new research
A recent specialized MRI study of the brains of seven females discovered that there were more connections between their hippocampus and their visual processing centers of the brain than between their hippocampus and their frontal lobes. The hippocampus is believed to be responsible for keeping and forming our memories. It is, using computer lingo, an equivalent of the data storage and management component. The frontal lobes are the analytical components.
This is an interesting study -but hardly surprising to anyone who ever concerned themselves with graphical processing, facial and image recognition and the like. It is interesting that the study involved female subjects only. I wonder if there are gender differences with regards to these parameters too. That would be an interesting topic to look into.

I don't think that there is a gender difference. I can say that my memory is very good with things I have seen as well.
Exactly. And I think that my eyesight is falling and my memory has become bad :)
