Spinlaunch
This company is trying to get payloads without chemical rockets into orbit. Their idea seems to be stolen from a comic book.
They want to attach a payload plus second stage to a 50 m long spinning arm and release it at a precise moment so that it travels at speeds of 2 km/s.
Their current setup is a 30 m diameter sub-orbital demonstrator.
Starlink Group 4 - 1 [Live: 12.11.2021, 12:31 UTC]
SpaceX is launching 53 additional Satellites for their own Starlink Constellation.
This is the first batch of satellites for the 4th layer of the constellation. Shell 4 is in a 540km circular low-Earth orbit. These satellites will have laser links installed, to enable data traffic across satellites instead of bounching it from Earth to satellite and back to Earth.
The booster is a Block 5 on its 9th flight and will land on a drone ship.
The mission to low earth orbit will launch from Space Launch Complex 40, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida.
Launch Weather by the 45th Weather Squadron is 60% go.
Cargo:
- Payload mass is approximately 15,6 tonnes
- 53 Starlink Satellites
