Technology is Changing the way We Work..
Work from home is the new normal in this time of covid pandemic and many companies have already decided that they will never work in the office with full capacity. Work from home is not a new thing however during this pandemic it is very popular because visiting the office is highly risky. This also brings a risk of getting infected and work from is the way that helps us stay safe and also productive for the organization.
Earlier, many people used to do work from home, but many companies were not okay with this way of working. One of the bigger concerns for the companies was that their employees will not be productive if they are given work from home facility however this myth is broken now. The world has been working from home for over a year and now employees, as well as companies, are okay with it and they are saving money on various costs that they used to pay while their employees were working from home.
We have to agree that technology has played a very important role in making work from home a better option. We use many tools like Microsoft teams and zoom for various meetings on the Internet and it makes us feel that we are working with people as we do in the office.

Now we use high-speed broadband at home to don't lag and perform tasks faster. Earlier data was not that much needed but with the new normal known as work from home data consumption has increased and it has also made easy availability of high-speed broad internet. I spend about 6-7 hours on zoom/teams call since its the way that connects me with my teammates and we share the work and reports through these tools.
I know that zoom was available prior to the pandemic but now it has got a huge user base. Even my organization had an upgrade to MS teams last year in Feb and then we had lockdown in march month. It seems like Microsoft was well prepared for the situation and they released teams well in advance so that people get a better option to work remotely.
Somewhere I feel that this pandemic has contributed well to the betterment of technology and brought us many services that are driven by advanced technology. Working remotely gives us more flexibility and we also get more family time. Even it helps us same money on the commute and time as well which we can't ignore.

Sure, I simultaneously work in three different devices. It doesn't feel good anyway.

Honestly you are right, technology has been the only reason why the idea of work at home still work well. Take for example with respect to my company that is an agricultural firm, all order are taken online while delivery was done by our delivery people. Also during the period i was able to work on myself by learning more about forex online while i made lot of money from it.
Certainly, its a good and helpful beginning and we are able to do much more at home while in the office the entire day was gone in work and commute. Glad to know that you made good money through forex. congrats

Very good topic, teleworking has the advantages you point out flexibility and commuting savings.
However, it is important to note that it is conditioned to internet connectivity, and in some countries, such as Venezuela this service has serious problems.
