GoPro introduces the much awaited HERO 9 action cam!

GoPro action cams have always been my favourite because of their top quality HD video shooting capability and mainly their versatility.

They are so versatile that they can be fixed on any surface that you can ever think of... from motorcycle helmets to surf boards to airplanes to your wrist to drones to even inside your car tyres.

Yes a person has actually put a gopro inside the tyres to record what happens inside when we drive and here's the video of it.

GoPro comes with a plethora of mounts that are compatible with various kind of surfaces and those are also available in generic brands at a very cheap cost which makes it one of the most flexible action cams.

The very first GoPro I ever owned was the basic GoPro HERO which was launched in 2014 and I purchased it in 2016. It still runs fine to this day. Just that 1080p at 30fps is too outdated. It can still be used as a secondary camera though.

I have been waiting for the Hero 9 to be launched since two years and GoPro just released a video two hours ago sharing all the features that is included in the latest GoPro.

The list includes, and I'm quoting it from GoPro's Official Facebook Page:

  1. 23.6MP sensor
  2. 5K video recording
  3. 20MP photo
  4. 30% longer battery life
  5. Front-facing color display
  6. Removable lens
  7. Hyper smooth 3.0
  8. Time warp 3.0
  9. Webcam Mode
  10. In-camera horizon leveling
  11. Mod ready
  12. Waterproof + rugged

What I love is the super slow-mo aspect at high resolution. 1080p at 240fps and 4K at 60fps which the 9 provides are more than enough for amazing shots. That is something which is not possible in my current GoPro and I miss creating many cool slow-mo shots while on the road.

Like they say, pictures speak a thousand words and videos are moving pictures. So here I am sharing with you the official video of HERO 9 just released by GoPro on their YouTube channel!

GoPro hasn't yet announced when it will be available in the stores in my country yet. But I'm super excited about this camera.
If they price it within 38k-40k INR mark, it'll be a hot deal and will sell like cakes.

In an age which is going more and more digital by the day and the content creation has been at its peak, pricing matters largely because of the heavy competition. But I'm pretty sure GoPro has it's separate loyal fanbase, which includes myself.

Thanks for tuning in!
