I witnessed a satellite flying over my house

It was the morning around 6am Eastern time, an hour or so before the sunrise. I was getting ready to go to the local hardware store to pick up some supplies for my bees. Walking out to the driveway I turned on my truck and waited for the windows to clear up and the engine to warm up. While I waited I enjoyed the clear skies that morning. I could see many stars, as I was looking around the horizon I saw one moving.

At first I thought maybe I was tired and not seeing things right, but as I watched it the star like object made a slow arch across the sky. It traveled from South to North and within a few minutes it traversed all the way across the sky. Waiting for it to make some kind of erratic moves I was hoping it was a UFO or something like that. But to my dismay it just kept moving at a constant pace. As it passed other stars it was quite obvious it was moving.

No idea which satellite it was, should have opened a satellite tracker around the time I saw it. Though I was ready to get moving for the day and just wrote it off as an interesting experience.

This is the first time I have ever seen one in the sky with my naked eye. My full spectrum camera has caught some on video I could not see with my eyes so this was the first I saw it unassisted.

I told @activate.alpha about what I saw and she said its pretty normal living around where we live to see such things. But since this was my first time, it was quite exciting for me. I guess what I saw was the sun reflecting off the spaceship as the sun was already rising at that point way up in the atmosphere.

Looking forward to living in an area with less light pollution, maybe it will be more commonplace to see such things in places without the lights of homes and businesses blocking out alot of the celestial light coming from space. But glad I was able to see that manmade object with my own eyes, at least I think it was manmade. I guess I will never know for sure, maybe it was indeed a UFO pretending to be a satellite.. who knows for sure.

Wanted to share my experience as a short 5 minute #freewrite as it was something quite special to me, even though it only lasted less than a minute. All and all it was really cool seeing, and I wonder if I had a telescope if I could have seen more details than just a start like object moving across the sky.
