This is my first contribution to the @stresskiller -founded MacroPhotography community. We appreciate the kind welcome we received from the hosts when this community first started.

Here are some macro photos—close-up, if you will—that I will post here; they were taken in North Aceh's Blang Kolam Forest Park.

This is a widespread species of Sumatran damselfly known as the black torrent dart (Dysphaea ethela). Odonata like that is commonly found in Aceh's rocky river environments.

It appears to have something in its jaws. I have no doubt that it merely caught prey for lunch. There wasn't much left, and by the time I wanted to take pictures with my phone's camera, it had virtually finished its lunch, so I wasn't sure what it was.

All of the images here are my own work, taken with Xiaomi POCO NFC smartphone and an assembled external macro lens.
