Tesla's Gaze

(Edited)

Starting off with my first art piece on NFT Showroom is an image made from Tesla, a Russian Blue mix. She was hanging out by the window but quite curious what I was doing with my big camera taking pictures of her. Though calm and waiting to see what I do next.

I took one of my macro photographs and stylized it using a technique called "Style Transfer". Basically I use a computer algorithm to take creative elements from a certain artist and imprint it on a picture I took. So once real photos are now turned into art by my graphics card and the use of a neural network trained to recognize shapes, lines and objects.

A Spanish painter named Juan Antonio Aguirre was used as the art style source and is linked below for reference. I also include three bonus downloads from other artists styles used on this picture. One of them is Pablo Picasso and the others is some nature art I found on the web.

Three editions are for sale for $5 each.

Samples of the bonus art are above, I think the art stylized by Juan Antonio Aguirre came out the best though the others are keepers too. So wanted to include the ones I think added some nice style to the images. They are unlockables when bought and included with the first art piece.

Included above is a link to the software I use to turn my real life photos into artwork. I try out dozens of artists style before I find a good type that mixes with my content of my photos.

I plan on releasing others soon, many more style transfer art pieces to come. And when I can get some better video cards the dimensions of the art will increase, at the moment the max size I can produce is around 2000x1500 pixels. I used two Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 video cards using multidevice strategy to make the current artwork.

By using even more powerful video cards I hope to be able to double the art size one day though this will require me to buy video cards that cost a few thousand dollars each. So for now I will use what I have and I think the art has came out great working with what I have.
