OPINION DR STONE 2ND SEASON

The first season of Dr Stone took us on an adventure set in the distant future where, because of a mysterious light, humanity was petrified. Thanks to a strong will and a liquid that combines several elements, Senku and his best friend Taijuu manage to free themselves. Your mission is to survive and try to create a new civilization thanks to science. When problems arise, they will release Tsukasa, a partner of both famous for his great physical strength.

The situation worsens when the motivations of both collide. Senku wants a civilization that works thanks to science. Tsukasa hates her as she believes that she corrupts humanity. Senku then pretends to be dead to create his Scientific Civilization and defeat Tsukasa.

After winning allies and gaining a certain advantage to win, the plans for war finally begin. This is where the second season begins. Winter is ending and time is running out. They must manage to finish the phone so that Taijuu and Yuzuriha can contact their friend who is in the village. Finally they succeed and communicate, so again, they must win allies, based on deception, so that the war is won in favor of science. Could it be that the war is won?

In 2019 this anime was released that gave a lot to talk about. Even people specialized in chemistry posted videos about whether it is possible to imitate Senku's experiments. Although they are exaggerated, technically they can be imitated, but it is not recommended (enough times Senku breaks the fourth wall to tell us not to try).

At the beginning of this season it is reinforced that Tsukasa does not want science but knows that it is necessary. A question that arose when I started to see it is: Yes, a world without that science that corrupts people is possible, but those people who lived in that time full of science are surely going to miss something. Leaving aside the obvious like television, internet or cell phones, people may miss something else. We already saw it with the soda and now with the music so, in theory, it would be easy to convince more people to join Senku's side.

But this was not necessary. By having the phone already created, the decisive battle comes quickly. The downside is that this lasts only two chapters when we learn the real reasons for Tsukasa to destroy science. Is this good? Lengthening a narrative arc can be risky and the audience can lose interest, so yes, the decision was excellent.

Personally, of winter animes, this is one of the must-sees: the story captures, the comedy is light and does not abuse ecchi considering the way the women dress and the physical attractiveness they represent for the target audience.
