An animation of a car-sized asteroid's very close approach to Earth

Today I am going to present an animation that shows a car-sized asteroid that made the closest approach to Earth on August 16, 2020. I spent around 5 to 6 hours to make this animation. It consists of around forty frames.

This car-sized space rock known as asteroid 2020 QG was discovered by a NASA-funded asteroid survey. According to this article, asteroids always move near our home planet. But asteroid 2020 QG made a new record that haven’t been recorded by other asteroids before. It just moved 1,830 miles away from Earth.

I wish I could see this asteroid. But it is not possible to see them with open eyes because they pass by at a greater distances. According to NASA scientists, the space has hundreds of millions of small asteroids but we can’t discover them all. They can be discovered only if they make very close distance to Earth.
