Cada persona posee su género preferido, sin embargo, algunos tenemos amor por varios géneros como el terror, ciencia ficción o romance por dar un ejemplo, en cada cabeza estos géneros poseen una influencia diferente. En este caso, deseo comenzar mis publicaciones en esta nueva comunidad hablando sobre como conocí la ciencia ficción, lo que ha influido en mí y cuáles son los temas que más me atraen de este fabuloso género que mantiene cautivado por siglos gran parte de la población mundial.
Conociendo la Ciencia Ficción.
La primera persona que me mostró este género fue mi padre, otro de esos apasionados por la ciencia ficción, recuerdo que le encantaba ver películas futuristas o de lucha contra alienígenas. Recuerdo muy bien un día que estaba viendo la película Depredador, aquel film de 1987 protagonizada por Arnold Schwarzenegger, recuerdo que era un niño, pero a diferencia de lo que pueden pensar algunos, no me asustaba ese monstruo de otro planeta que allí aparcería, todo lo contrario, me causaba fascinación esa lucha de uno a uno contra una bestia con más fuerza y tecnología que un humano.
A mi padre le encanta esa película, tanto así que en una actividad navideña en mi preescolar mi padre compró una figura del Depredador para que el Santa Claus de ese preescolar me lo diera como regalo navideño, ahora como adulto y padre me imagino las expresiones de los demás cuando vieron ese juguete monstruoso ser regalado a un pequeño niño de preescolar (jajaja). Ese recuerdo lo tengo vivo en mi mente porque inmediatamente esa figura de Depredador pasó a ser mi juguete preferido por muchos años, realmente me gustaba jugar a los alienígenas y naves espaciales con ese juguete que tuve hasta mi adolescencia.
En cuanto a Películas
Cuando crecí también adopté el amor por las películas y el cine, Volver al Futuro es de esas películas que vi desde muy joven, al principio no comprendía muy bien lo que ocurría, pero me encantaba el hecho de poder viajar en el tiempo mientras un automóvil se desplazaba a máxima velocidad, este es uno de los filmes más icónicos del género y a pesar de haberlo visto una gran cantidad de veces, aún puedo ver la trilogía una y otra vez sin aburrirme. Esta película en especial me hace amar el tema de los viajes en el tiempo y las paradojas, algo que frecuentemente menciono en mis publicaciones de reseñas que hago en la comunidad de Movies & TvShows.
Me encantan las películas de ciencia ficción, he visto muchas de distintos temas que me agradan, en mi caso particular, como me encanta el tema del tiempo y las paradojas, tiendo a buscar los fallos en la lógica dentro de los filmes, buscando errores en el guion que no vayan alineados con la lógica de la línea del tiempo, a menos claro, que el filme presente múltiples dimensiones en las cuales la línea del tiempo principal no es afectada, pero siempre estoy atento a esos detalles recordando todo el alboroto ocasionado en Volver al Futuro.
Mi Primer Libro de Ciencia Ficción
En mi adolescencia no acostumbraba a leer mucho, el tema debía interesarme mucho para poder sentarme a leer unas cuantas páginas, uno de los primeros libros que comencé a leer era de astronomía, aunque puede ser ligado a la ciencia ficción, el primer libro que comencé a leer dentro de este género fue el de Viaje al Centro de la tierra escrito por el francés Julio Verne, desde joven aprendí que es más difícil llegar al centro de nuestro propio planeta que viajar al espacio así que este libro captó mi atención.
Este tipo de libros venían en una promoción de uno de los diarios más famosos de la ciudad, semanalmente se optaba por uno de estos libros de Julio Verne, un autor que todos los fanáticos de la ciencia ficción conocen, muchos documentales realizados con base en sus obras literarias que además muchas predicciones se cumplieron, así como lo menciona Emmett Brown en la película Volver al Futuro III.
Creo que tener una referencia de un autor que haya escrito sobre un viaje a la luna casi 200 años antes de que ocurriera con bastante similitud a la realidad, es bastante importante para los amantes del género, un autor que no solamente basaba su trabajo en la imaginación, sino también en investigaciones y un razonamiento científico excepcional.

Además de hablar sobre viajes en el tiempo, disfruto de otros subgéneros dentro de la ciencia ficción.
Futuros Distópicos
Este es otro tema que me agrada, en muchos casos en literatura o en el cine, observamos que los avances de la tecnología mezclados con el egoísmo propio de nuestra especie hacen mostrar una sociedad distópica o inestable, al borde de la extensión, en muchos de los casos, estos escenarios futuristas llevan al lector a situaciones sociales y sus consecuencias en donde en muchos casos la tecnología juega un papel fundamental.
Ese tipo de historias futuristas, nuestra especie lucha por sobrevivir en un mundo destruido por máquinas, es fascinante y lo demuestra el cine con el éxito de películas como Terminator, Matrix, Blade Runner, Mad Max, el Precio del Mañana y muchas otras son una gran fuente de entretenimiento desde mi punto de vista.
Colonización y Opera espacial
A muchos nos agrada ver aventuras espaciales, grandes naves y mucha tecnología que en ocasiones se convierten en guerras, el claro ejemplo es Stars Wars, una saga que he seguido desde aquellas películas en donde el maestro Yoda era tan solo un títere en el mundo del cine, son películas que, aunque no son de mi generación tienen esa singularidad que, aunque pasen los años captan nuestra atención.
Conclusión
En general, me agrada bastante este género, lo he demostrado reseñando muchas películas de Ciencia Ficción y es que desde la infancia he visto tanto que despierta mi imaginación, es un género especial que he disfrutado por tantos años y que a muchos de mis familiares también son cautivos de ese arte de imaginar o predecir el futuro.
En lo particular, estoy feliz de que ahora exista este espacio para crear contenido sobre estos temas tan apasionantes, estoy seguro de que veremos excelentes trabajos literarios y artísticos en este lugar.
Espero que este pequeño post motive a otros usuarios a crear contenido en esta comunidad, mostrando como conocieron este género y que libros o películas han quedado en el recuerdo hasta el día de hoy.

Everyone has their own favourite genre, however, some of us have a love for several genres such as horror, science fiction or romance to give an example, in each head these genres have a different influence. In this case, I want to start my publications in this new community talking about how I met science fiction, what has influenced me and what are the topics that most attract me of this fabulous genre that keeps captivated for centuries much of the world's population.
Getting to know Science Fiction.
The first person who showed me this genre was my father, another of those passionate about science fiction, I remember that he loved watching futuristic films or films about fighting aliens. I remember very well one day I was watching the movie Predator, that 1987 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, I remember I was a kid, but unlike what some people may think, I was not scared of that monster from another planet that would appear there, on the contrary, I was fascinated by that one-on-one fight against a beast with more strength and technology than a human.
My father loves that movie, so much so that in a Christmas activity in my preschool my father bought a Predator figure for the Father Christmas of that preschool to give it to me as a Christmas present, now as an adult and a father I imagine the expressions of the others when they saw that monstrous toy being given to a little preschooler (hahaha). That memory is vivid in my mind because immediately that Predator figure became my favourite toy for many years, I really liked playing aliens and spaceships with that toy that I had until my teenage years.
As for Movies
When I grew up I also adopted a love for movies and cinema, Back to the Future is one of those movies I watched from a very young age, at first I didn't really understand what was going on, but I loved the fact that I could travel back in time while a car was moving at top speed, this is one of the most iconic films of the genre and despite having seen it a huge amount of times, I can still watch the trilogy over and over again without getting bored. This film in particular makes me love the theme of time travel and paradoxes, something I frequently mention in my review posts I do in the Movies & TvShows community.
I love sci-fi movies, I've seen many of different themes that I enjoy, in my particular case, as I love the theme of time and paradoxes, I tend to look for flaws in the logic within the films, looking for errors in the script that do not align with the logic of the timeline, unless of course, the film presents multiple dimensions in which the main timeline is not affected, but I'm always on the lookout for those details remembering all the fuss caused in Back to the Future.
My First Science Fiction Book
As a teenager I didn't used to read much, the subject matter had to interest me a lot to be able to sit down and read a few pages, one of the first books I started reading was astronomy, although it can be linked to science fiction, the first book I started reading within this genre was Journey to the Centre of the Earth written by the French Jules Verne, from a young age I learned that it is more difficult to get to the centre of our own planet than to travel to space so this book caught my attention.

Such futuristic stories, our species struggling to survive in a world destroyed by machines, are fascinating and the success of films such as Terminator, Matrix, Blade Runner, Mad Max, The Price of Tomorrow and many others are a great source of entertainment in my view.

In general, I quite like this genre, I have shown it by reviewing many Science Fiction films and since childhood I have seen so much that awakens my imagination, it is a special genre that I have enjoyed for so many years and many of my relatives are also captive of the art of imagining or predicting the future.
