Wednesday walk : To the place of Science and Technology
Greetings I hope my friends are always optimistic and happy. Two days ago I returned from the City of Bandung to the City of Sukabumi, exited the toll road gate, the vehicle was directed to the Kota Bandung Parahyangan area and passed a roundabout road which will divide several road flows.
I often pash through this area, but this time I tried to visit a place of Science and technology. From a distance can see the clockwise-shsped building it can be seen from various directions because it is located in a circle of streets.
The manager provides a vehicle parking lot not for from the clockwise shaped building. Then walk for a while and cross the road to the destination, before entering visitors must pay a ticket for 35.000,- IDR or around ($2).
Inside this building, many demonstrations are displayed about science and technology. This place is open every day from 9 am to 5 pm. This Sundial building has been around for long time and this place is open to the public.
This place is very good to gain knowledge about science and technology, a lot of basic science was demonstrated such, these was a basic demonstration of pentagon shadow science,in the demonstration of an area measuring path.
There is a Bongosong made of pipes with different pipes which cause the air waves passing through the pipe to sound different, there is also a stimulation demonstration in the form of a rotating chair, and many other basic science demonstration.
Beside demonstrating basic science, also demonstrating time control using Sundials display, namely vertical sun shadows and horizontal sun shadows.
We can see a vertical sundial located at the entrance, with s unique gnomon installed a vertical sundial has on area of 50 square meters. Which can only be road between 8 am and 4 pm.
A horizontal sundial is a sundial that has a flat dial, the gnomon is 15 meters high wide, 30 meters long and 2.785 square meters wide. When I visited the weather condition were over last, so I couldn't see the sun's shadow.
Thank you #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay as host.
Thank you very much and happy day.
I didn't know there are science museum over there. Though it's a bit smaller I think that's pretty intriguing.
Indeed, many people who passed around the round just watched, maybe there was no clearer information posted on the road. Then around the round the road was very busy. I suggest making a pedestrian bridge so that visitors are more comfortable when want to enter the museum. Thank you for stopping by and comment. Greetings.
thats an impressive sciene museum both from the outside and indoors with all the displays
Thanks for joining the Wednesday, its always fun for me to visit the walks from all around the world, getting a feel for communities where people live and what they see on their daily walks
