Believe it or not, but i managed to purchase a Game Gear with the accessories shown for five USD. It was a garage sale. One that initially looked unimpressive. After looking a bit longer, I noticed a bag that says Sega. This was impossible to pass up. The console wven works.

As seen above, one item that came with the console was a Game Genie. These are used to insert cheat codes for the game.

The final plan is to replace all of the capacitors, and possibly the screen. The screen was not functioning well, and so more testing is needed. The console works right now though. So that gives me hope that it can be fixed.
